# 2865  Greece Fights Back from Early Deficit

Greece Storm fought back from a four goal deficit to defeat Aquinas 9-8.  The  Storm scored the go ahead goal with only 1:01 remaining in regulation after trailing for the majority of the game.  That was only the second time in the entire game that Greece took the lead.  The first time was for less than a minute early in the fourth quarter.

# 2810  Greece Storm Scores Five Straight in Win over C-C

Greece Storm scored five unanswered goals spanning the second and third quarters in their 8-5 win over Churchville-Chili. The Storm held the Saints scoreless for over 23 minutes in the contest.  They also spread out their offense with six players making the offensive book.  Jacob Holdaway led in scoring with 3 goals, including the last two.  Churchville-Chili had each of their five goals scored by a different athlete.

The Greece Storm will be sending two attackmen to Alfred University next fall. Trevor Gilliard and Paul Forte both announced their decision to attend and play for the Saxtons after their graduate this spring.

# 1418  Penfield Advances to Finals

In the second game of the Class A double-header second seeded Penfield defeated third seeded Greece Storm 13-5 to move on the Semi-Finals.  The Patriots will move on to face top seeded Fairport at St. John Fisher College on Tuesday.  This is the first time Penfield has made the Finals since 2015.  The last time that Penfield won the big game was 2013.

Friday: DAY IN REVIEW: Aquinas travelled to Buffalo for their 14-10 win over Canisius. Junior attackman Eli Chalmers led the offense with 5g-3a. Sebastian Gimeli won 14 of 21 draws for AQ. The Greece Storm won their eighth game of the season with their victory over Bloomfield-Honeoye. Junior attackman Paul Forte had 4g-2a in the game. After four ties, Marcus Whitman broke away from Newark in the third quarter and ended with a 9-6 win. Senior attackman Schuyler Bredesen led the offense with 5g. Michael Dhondt recorded 9 saves (60%) in the cage for the Wildcats.

# 1364  Gananda Over Geneva in Double OT

Tuesday: DAY IN REVIEW: A couple of games were postponed, but fourteen were able to play today and three were one-goal games. Penn Yan scored their winning goal in the last quater as they defeated Westhill (Section 3) 5-4. Senior midfielder Austin Blumbergs led the Mustangs with four goals and sophomore goalie Jeff Kinyon made twelve saves (75%). Thomas used a goal in the last five minutes of the game to defeat Fairport 11-10 and Patrick Shanley scored an unassisted goal in the second overtime period to give Gananda the 9-8 win at Geneva.

# 1331  Spencerport scores Nine of Ten straight in Win

Spencerport scored nine out of ten straight goals to defeat Greece Storm 10-6.  The Rangers were led in scoring by Mark Schnauber with 2g-2a.  Seven players made the offensive book with six of the seven scoring more than one point.

SATURDAY: DAY IN REVIEW: The GRALL opened up today as McQuaid Jesuit under new Head Coach Terry Corcoran defeated the Haverling Rams 15-7 in an early morning game at Hobart College. Jack Bilitier led the Knights with 6g-1a while Jon added 4g-1 in the win.

DAY IN REVIEW: Junior midfielder Shea McDonald scored the winning goals with 10.1 seconds left in overtime to give Brighton (4-3) the win over visiting Canandaigua (6-3) with a scored of 14-13. Casey McDermott was the scoring leader for the Barons with 4g-2a. Brett Randall added 4g.

# 1153  Hopsicker Wins in Overtime

Jeremy Hopsicker scored back to back goals to end the game and give Brockport the 10-9 win over Greece Athena/Odyssey in the first overtime period.  Hopsicker scored the game tying goal with 1:01 remaining in regulation before scoring the game winner 1:51 into overtime, both goals were unassisted.  Although, he had three assists earlier in the game, they were his first two goals of the game.
